Taiwan is staging military exercises to show its ability to resist Chinese pressure to accept Beijing’s political control over the self-governing island, following new rounds of threatening drills from China.
Taiwan displayed its most advanced fighter jet – the missile-equipped F-16V. Six F-16Vs took off for night reconnaissance and training missions. Air force personnel loaded an F-16V fighter with a U.S-made anti-ship missile.
